College Counseling Program

In keeping with our mission, St. George’s is a student-centered learning environment designed to prepare students for college and the world beyond. In a setting that promotes curiosity, exploration, and individuality the college office wants to help each student identify their interests and goals and develop skills that will set them apart in a competitive world. Through a four-year process, we work closely with each student to provide support and guidance starting in the 9th grade and culminating in an exciting college search process.

St. George’s starts by laying the groundwork and expectations for students during each of their 4 years in high school through our unique LEADS program developed to help prepare our students for life after high school. The College Office also works to make what can be an overwhelming and intimidating process more manageable and less stressful by offering a variety of programs and services each year. These services include college advising informational sessions for both students and parents, our popular college visit trips, workshops on a range of topics from essay writing to test prep, and resources for financial aid.

Our goal is simple – we are committed to helping each family be well-informed and each student to be well-prepared to navigate the college admission process and find a college that is truly the right fit for them.
